The Tiger of the Week has become so popular I have students "blowing up" my emails wanting to nominate their teacher.  I love that our students love their teachers! 

Mr. Grimes is no exception.  

It is really hard to be new to campus during the middle of a pandemic and extra hard if you are the librarian.  But Mrs. Fuller has done a great job promoting the GMS Library.

 GMS has over 400 students back in the building and it is great to see and hear the roar of students all over the building.

Our Teacher Tiger of the Week is Mrs. Huerta.  

GMS also started Student of the Week.  Each week every teacher is nominating a student.  Today was the first group of students.  Students and their parents received emails today with the student award.  Continue to be on the lookout each Friday.

  Remember next Friday is a student holiday.  Have a great weekend.

 Sometimes we just need to have a little fun.  With two years of Tiger Days unable to happen, GMS felt like we needed to do something fun.  So we created a modified Tiger Day Scavenger Hunt around the school.  Following all safety protocols, students were able to get out of the classroom and find different locations around the school.  

Mrs. Dahill's class chose to wear party hats for the occasion...

Thank you all to help with our Modified Tiger Day.  It was a great way to start Spring Break.  See everyone back on the 22nd. 

 There have been many times this past year that I have been grateful to the Gorzcyki community.  This week was yet another reminder of how awesome the GMS community is.

GMS Dance Teams have created a Tiger of the Week.  Mrs. Dammann was the first teacher nominated!  Congratulations, she received a gift card from the PTA and school. 

There are lots of things happening next week.  If you haven't signed up to receive the GMS PTA newsletter please do so.  PTA does a great job reminding everyone about upcoming events.  

Next Friday, GMS is hosting a "Modified Tiger Day".  More information will be coming for how both on-campus and remote students can participate.

It is great to see such incredible work from students, especially during this pandemic.  These are from some of our Art II students. 

Finding time for our on-campus students to socialize has been creative this year and especially when it is cold outside.  But it can be done.

The Valentine Candy Bar was a surprise for Friday, but when we found out school would be remote, the GMS office staff quickly set it up.

Monday is a student holiday.

Tuesday all assignments are due for the 4th six weeks. 

Friday is an asynchronous C day.  All students are expected to log in to blend for each class and complete an assignment so attendance can be taken.  

 I have enjoyed seeing some of the Woodshop projects for the six weeks.  

GMS Teachers have found creative ways for students on-campus to collaborate.  These are French students practicing new vocabulary words

February 9th will be Choice Sheet Night at GMS.  This will obviously be our first time conducting Choice Sheet Night virtually so please bear with us if there are kinks.  You will log into whichever zoom session you feel is important or have questions.
