This was our last 6th grade field trip of the year to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It is a great tradition here at GMS.

GMS students conducted a walkout this morning.  Students gathered in the courtyard in remembrance of the 17 students and staff who died last week in a school shooting.  The event was student organized and led.  Staff was just on hand to ensure the safety of the participating students.  The students did a great job conducting themselves in a manner that makes me proud to be their principal.

Gorzycki Middle School is seeking donations to support a new scholarship program.  The Julius Adler Music Scholarship Award was created to honor Julius Adler who passed away on November 26, 2017.  He left his mark on Gorzycki Middle School as a passionate musician and to celebrate his love for music this scholarship has been created to send fellow lovers of music to summer camp. Attending a summer camp can be transformational for middle school students as they bond with fellow young musicians from across Texas, stay in a college dorm and ramp up their mastery of their instruments. This scholarship will send its awardee(s) to the Texas State String Camp. 100% of your donation will be used to provide scholarships to deserving students. Check the PTA webpage for more information

Couple of reminders for next:

Applications for NJHS need to be completed
