Don't forget that STAAR testing has arrived.  Next Tuesday and Wednesday, 7th and 8th graders are testing.  Please refer to the website for specifics like lunches and visitors.

Did you know that GMS students perform a musical each year?  This year's musical is Seussical and the first performance is tonight.  There will be three other performances.  It is a great performance for the entire family.

Has your child ordered their yearbook yet?  Time is running out.

The Student Council is fundraising for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.  For just a $2 entrance fee, students can be entertained by a lip sync battle from their teachers.  It was awesome last year. Below are some pictures.

Most of our students participated in the Vision and Voice Poetry Contest.  We had several Honorable Mentions.  I encourage you to go to this website and read the poems created by our students.  They are quite powerful,  www.visionandvoice.org

One last thing, don't forget that it is time to register for next school year.  This isn't an automatic process.  This can be done through the Parent Cloud at my.austinisd.org
